Rocket World house creation

In the house creation process we have made a plan about the house and then made groups depending on who wants to do what.
first I joined the first group to make the house but then I switched my group to the tree group because I felt the area needed more trees since it was very big and looked very naked. here is the plan for the house and the garden.
Then I checked out the trees and everytime I created a tree it was a different kind.
therefore I used cones and cylinders to create a tree. I used the wood texture and the color and then for the leaves I used the ivy texture and different tones of green. then I added some grass to the ground because it seemed weird just with the trees and nothing else around it.
Here are some pictures of the trees.
Then in the end before deleting everything we took a group photo together.
It was a great group project! Everyone finished their part and it was great in the end!

My Rocket

Here is my Rocket.
while doing this rocket I clicked on the floor and clicked on create button. then I used the cylinder shape and moved it a little bit around then added a cone on top of it making them the same size. then I added pyramids and added wings to my rocket.
I changed the texture of the Cylinder and the cone of my rocket and selected blank as the texture and changed the colors of them. I preferred not to change the colors of the wings because as my rocket launches the wings will be gone :)
so here it is!

Midterm #8

Here is my picture where i used the smudge tool to get rid of my wrinkles and the lines i have when I smile. then I removed some of my freckles on my face. then I whitened my teeth it looked weird in the first place but it looked fine when I zoomed out.
then there was my mum just behind me and I couldn't find anything else to do so I removed her from the picture :) It's not like I dont like her I just wanted to play around a little bit!

sooo it's basically it! and im done with the midtermssss!!!! :D

Midterm #7

Here is my midterm #7 I got the picture from google. and chose a large one so that I can work on it easily then opened up the other file to get the eyes. and selected it in a circle and then copied and pasted it on my picture. then I made her look better by taking out the wrinkles a little bit with the smudge tool. then I added a rectangle and made it back and used the insert>text to insert the texts and changed their fonts sizes colors.
and here it is!!!!

Assignment #4

In this assignment i used all my skills to create this. I have my animated name and the background, the animated colored objects and the animated picture.

Assignment #3:
Here I inserted the image which I edited a little bit in Gimp. I changed the color of the background. then i resized the image and added the bouncing animation since it's a ball :)


Assignment #2:
In this assignment I change the background and made it black, then I added a circle and changed its colors using gradient setup. then I animated the circle. then I added a text box typing in my name and changed its font color and size.

In this assignment I inserted a rectangle for my name's background, then I went to the gradient setup and gave a little color to the background. then I inserted a text box from insert.
I changed the font, font color and size. then I added animation from the pulldown.

Midterm #6 - tux and the rotation

For the rotation I used the Xtns tab and then the script fu and from there i chose the logos then the text cirxle. i typed down my name and created a layer. for the continuous rotation i started with 45 degrees rotation and then incremented anchoring layers.
then had a nice animation after selecting the loop forever.



In this midterm I had a lot of trouble because gimpShop was crashing. I uninstalled the program restarted the computer then installed it again but that still didn't work out. Then I dowloaded Gimp and then started my work. I created a new image and used transparency. then I added a text box and typed in what I was doing (using the layers). after I pasted a penguin picture in my picture and anchored these two things together. it looks great! I loved it :)

Here is my house which I created using Microsoft word basic shapes. after I created the shapes I filled the shapes with textures and patterns. I just used the other shapes and lines to see what they are and it was basically it :)

Midterm #5 - jpeg and png

The first image is an progressive JPEG image and the second one is saved as an interlaced PNG image. With this feature it seems like they're downloaded faster than they actually are.
When the page first comes up it's not really clear but then the pixels become sharp and the pictures became clearer.

I knew there were different extensions for pictures but i never knew about the differences about them. They are very different from each other. I see that PNG is extremely clear, brighter, and crisper than the others. The difference is less in the JPEG format (better) but more noticeable in the GIF format(worse).
The shadows in the pictures are clearer and the difference in the color is obvious therefore the PNG format is the best, JPEG is not so bad but the GIF is the worst one in this case with less colors.
In the GIF format is nearly like an old cell phone camera (VGA, less colors).
So in this case PNG is the best!!!

Here is Samus the fluffy cat. What I did in this picture is I selected the white area that I wanted to type into from the select rectangular section and the from the text I typed in some stuff.

Midterm #1 - red eye

In this photo I removed red eye using GIMPshop. First I use the eye drop to get the color of this kids eye. Then I selected the the area of the red eye and applied this color to the eye.

Face Lift

Here is Madonna without some of her wrinkles. I used the smudge to get rid of some of her wrinkles under her eyes.
then I dodged the picture and made her eyes whiter and her teeth( which is a really small part of the picture)
And at last I added some shadows to her hair using burn.
